There was a time when I loved grabbing the chicken and honey Dijon snack packs from Trader Joe’s.
They were easy, convenient, and felt like the perfect quick protein option for busy days.
But over time, I realized how quickly they were adding up—especially when I was buying multiple packs each week for myself and my family.
So I started making my own version at home.
And honestly? It’s just as good… if not better.
Now I can control the ingredients, adjust the flavor, and prep multiple servings at once—all while keeping things budget-friendly.









Ingredients
- Trader Joe’s Organic Chicken (white meat included)
- Honey
- Yellow mustard
- Dijon mustard
- Smoked paprika
- Salt
- Pepper
How to Make the Honey Dijon Sauce
In a bowl, mix together:
- 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
Mix well until smooth.
That’s it—your honey Dijon dipping sauce is done.
It’s creamy, slightly sweet, and has just enough depth from the Dijon and smoked paprika.
Store in the fridge until ready to use.
Prep the Chicken
Take your Trader Joe’s organic chicken breast strips and cut them into slightly smaller, bite-sized pieces.
This makes them perfect for dipping and easy for both adults and little ones to grab.
Assemble Your Snack Packs
Add the cut chicken into your storage containers, then portion out the honey Dijon sauce alongside it.
Place in the fridge and store for a few days’ worth of ready-to-go snacks.
