Sometimes the best meals aren’t planned.
They happen when you open the fridge, grab a few ingredients, and put something together without overthinking it.
That’s exactly how these mini pizza toasts became one of my go-to dinners.
They’re simple, quick, and made with ingredients I almost always have on hand.
What You Need (4 Ingredients):
- Bread of choice (I use round sandwich thins)
- Pizza sauce
- Shredded cheese
- Fresh basil

How to Make Mini Pizza Toasts:
- Start by laying out your bread
- Add a spoonful of pizza sauce to each piece
- Sprinkle shredded cheese on top
- Place in the air fryer, toaster, or oven at medium to high heat
Cook for about 3 minutes, or just until:
- the cheese melts
- the bread is warm and slightly crisp
Remove carefully and top with fresh basil.
Serving Suggestion:
If you want to turn this into a more complete meal, pair it with a simple side salad.
It’s one of the easiest ways to make this feel a little more balanced without adding extra work.

Toddler-Friendly Version:
This is also one of the easiest meals to adapt for toddlers.
Try:
- cutting into quarters or strips
- making small squares
- using a cookie cutter for fun shapes
It turns dinner into something a little more interactive—and way more likely to get eaten.
Why This Works (Especially for Busy Days):
- Uses just 4 ingredients
- Ready in under 10 minutes
- Flexible with whatever bread you have
- Feels comforting without being heavy
- Requires almost no cleanup
This is the kind of meal that makes showing up for dinner feel easier.
