A simple, one-pan noodle dish made with real ingredients—ready in 15 minutes or less
If you’re looking for something quick, satisfying, and made with real ingredients—this one-pan noodle dish has been one of my easiest go-to meals lately.
It’s the kind of meal you can throw together in under 15 minutes using a few staples from Trader Joe’s—and still feel like you made something thoughtful and nourishing.
No complicated sauces. No long prep. Just a simple combination that works.

Why I Love This Recipe
This dish hits that balance I’m always looking for right now:
- Quick enough for a weekday lunch or dinner
- Minimal ingredients (just 4 core items)
- Plant-based protein from the tofu
- Flavorful without being heavy or overly salty
It’s also one of those meals where everything cooks in one pan—which makes cleanup just as easy as the cooking itself.
Ingredients
- Trader Joe’s Thai Wheat Noodles
- Trader Joe’s Organic Baked Tofu
- Soyaki Sauce
- Fresh Asparagus
Instructions
1. Cook the Asparagus
Chop the asparagus into 5–6 pieces.
Add to an oiled skillet over medium heat and sauté until slightly tender.
2. Add the Tofu
Cube the baked tofu and add it to the pan.
Pour in the sauce from the package and let it warm with the asparagus.
3. Add the Sauce
Add about 2 tablespoons of Soyaki sauce.
Mix well so the tofu and asparagus are evenly coated.
Cook for about 2 minutes.
4. Add the Noodles
Add the Thai wheat noodles.
Slowly fold them into the mixture, coating everything evenly.
Let heat for about 2 minutes—just enough to warm through without overcooking.
Turn off heat and serve.
Optional Garnishes (Highly Recommend)
- Fresh lime wedge
- Cilantro
- Red pepper flakes
- Bean sprouts
These take it from simple → elevated with almost no extra effort.

A Simple Formula You Can Reuse
This is one of those meals you can easily adapt:
Pick a base: noodles or rice
Add a protein: tofu, chicken, or shrimp
Add a veggie: asparagus, broccoli, snap peas
Finish with a sauce: Soyaki, teriyaki, or sesame
And you have a completely new version every time.
Final Thoughts
This is exactly the kind of meal I come back to when I don’t want to overthink cooking but still want something warm, satisfying, and made with real ingredients.
If you make this, let me know—I’d genuinely love to hear what you think 🤍
And if you’re building a rotation of quick, no-fuss meals, this is a good one to keep on repeat.
